Two Polstat STIS study programs received Excellent Accreditation

Two study programs at Politeknik Statistika (Polstat) STIS have been awarded “Excellent” accreditation status by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA). This prestigious recognition is outlined in the official decrees of the LAMSAMA Executive Board Director:

  • No. 051/SK/LAMSAMA/Akred/DIII/VI/2024 for the DIII Program, and
  • No. 052/SK/LAMSAMA/Akred/STr/VI/2024 for the Applied Statistics (Statistika) Program.

The accreditation status is valid from June 3, 2024 to June 2, 2026.

This achievement reflects Politeknik Statistika STIS’s commitment to providing high-quality higher education. The journey to achieve this accreditation was rigorous and demanding. “All praise to God, this would not have been possible without the support from the entire academic community and the managerial team at Politeknik Statistika STIS,” said Dr. Erni Tri Astuti, Director of Politeknik Statistika STIS.

Prior to the accreditation, a two-day field assessment was conducted on May 13–14, 2024, involving four assessors appointed by LAMSAMA:

  • Prof. Dr. Budi Nurani Ruchjana, M.S. from Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD)
  • Dr. Budi Surodjo, M.Si. from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM)
  • Prof. Dr. Edi Cahyono, M.Si. from Universitas Halu Oleo
  • Prof. Dr. Admi Nazra, M.Si., M.Sc. from Universitas Andalas

“This field assessment for program accreditation marks a significant milestone in affirming Politeknik Statistika STIS’s commitment to delivering quality higher education, and BPS as the parent institution has provided continuous support to make it a reality,” stated Imam Machdi, Deputy of Methodology and Information Systems (MIS) at BPS.

LAMSAMA focuses on accrediting study programs in formal sciences and natural sciences, as well as programs aimed at producing educators and teachers in these fields.

Formal sciences include disciplines such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, and Computational Sciences, among others.
Natural sciences cover areas such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Earth and Space Sciences, as well as related interdisciplinary fields. LAMSAMA also accredits multidisciplinary programs related to these domains.
