Polstat STIS Hosts the 5th FOKRI Games

One of the activities of the FOKRI (Islamic Spiritual Cooperation Forum) of Civil Service Universities (PTK), namely the 5th FOKRI Games, was held at the Politeknik Statistika STIS last Saturday (20/4). The 5th FOKRI Games, which carried the theme "The Charm of Islamic Da'wah (Climbers)", was attended by fifteen Civil Service Universities throughout Indonesia. The holding of FOKRI PTK and FOKRI Games among Civil Service Universities aims to enable civil service students to take part in broadcasting Islamic da'wah and spreading goodness in Islam. Not only as a means of fostering friendship through competition, FOKRI Games can also be a means to strengthen ukhuwah (brotherhood) among civil service students. Yusril Abdul Aziz, as the deputy chairman of the FOKRI Games V committee, admitted that student enthusiasm for this event was quite high. This was evident from the many promotions of activities on social media by participants and students. "Hosting an event of this magnitude is certainly not easy. But because we are fighting in the path of Allah, thank God, all matters that initially seemed impossible have been made easy," he said.
The 5th FOKRI Games held twelve competition categories for male brothers and eleven for female sisters, running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. WIB. These competitions included the Quiz Competition (LCC), the Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ), the Quran Recitation Competition (MHQ), a preacher competition, an essay competition, and many more. In addition to the various competitions, the Politeknik Statistika STIS , as the host of the 5th FOKRI Games, also enlivened the event with stalls showcasing traditional food from various regions across Indonesia. There was also participation from the Rohis (Islamic Student Organization) and the PDT (Underdeveloped Village Development) UKM, which sold religious products and provided a donation platform. The presence of Ustaz KH Tengku Zulkarnain as a speaker at the Grand Tablig (Islamic Service) event, entitled "Achieving Blessings in the Sweetness of Da'wah," also enlivened the 5th FOKRI Games. In his sermon, he advised that as the younger generation, especially civil service students, we are obligated to continue the struggle of the heroes who liberated Indonesia. We must not allow religion to become a barrier that limits our diversity.
The closing ceremony, which also marked the culmination of the event, was filled with joy. At the end of the 5th FOKRI Games, the winners of various competitions were announced. PKN STAN successfully won the rotating trophy, becoming the overall champion with eight gold medals and five silver medals. Politeknik Statistika STIS took second place, followed by STPI in third.
Congratulations to all the winners and all civil service universities that attended the 5th FOKRI Games 2019.
