PKBN-MP2K 2022 was held to foster a sense of togetherness, family, and tolerance among the new students of Politeknik Statistika STIS. Aiming to enhance the nationalism and character development of the 64th cohort, the Nationalism Awareness Development Program (PKBN) took place at Pusdikjas Kodiklat TNI AD in Cimahi, West Java. The program ran for four days, from August 16 to 19, 2022.

The opening ceremony was held on August 16, 2022, officiated by Colonel Inf. Safrudin, SIP, Commander of Pusdikjas Kodiklatad. The event was attended by Dr. Titik Harsanti, M.Si. as the director’s representative, and Dr. Sarni Maniar Berliana, SST, M.Si., the event’s chairperson, along with other faculty members. Two student representatives were symbolically appointed through the presentation of red ribbons, which all participants were required to wear throughout the training.

The activities at Pusdikjas were diverse and intensive. They included marching drills, marching with sticks, military self-defense, mountaineering, core values of national defense, flag ceremonies, protocol training, and more. No time was left unutilized; all activities were designed to effectively and efficiently shape the students’ character. On the second day, coinciding with Indonesia’s Independence Day on August 17, the students participated in a flag-raising ceremony led by the Indonesian Army. On the final night, a solemn reflection session was held under a peaceful and heartfelt atmosphere.

The program concluded with a lively closing ceremony and demonstration. After the official closing by Ir. Agus Purwoto, M.Si., Vice Director for Student Affairs at Politeknik Statistika STIS, students showcased the skills they had learned over the past days. The event closed with a moving rendition of Bagimu Negeri, followed by a cheerful group performance of the Angkatan 64 song, sung and danced together with great enthusiasm. The day ended with group photos, lunch, and preparations for returning to campus.
