Description :To address the global challenges of scarcity, disruption, and Covid-19, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in collaboration with Politeknik Statistika STIS held a public lecture titled “What do Diesel and Flowers have in common? The AdBlue Shortage in Australia” on Friday (10/6), featuring Mr. Michael Abbondante from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and moderated by Nucke Widowati Kusumo Projo, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. The hybrid-format lecture, attended by third-year students and faculty, began with remarks from Dr. Erni Tri Astuti, M.Math., Director of Politeknik Statistika STIS. The speaker emphasized the need for quality data, evidence-based policies, and effective partnerships to respond to agricultural challenges caused by droughts, floods, and the pandemic. The event concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Eng. Imam Machdi, MT, encouraging Politeknik Statistika STIS students to enhance both their technical and governmental understanding of statistics. The ABS delegation also toured the campus, visiting various facilities.
