Visit from Nurul Ikhlas Excellent High School

On Thursday (November 1st) afternoon, the Politeknik Statistika (Polstat) of STIS welcomed a visit from Nurul Ikhlas Excellent High School, West Sumatra. The visit, attended by thirteen students and two teachers, was welcomed by Bambang Nurcahyo, MM, Head of General Affairs (BU), in the Polstat STIS senate meeting room.
The accompanying teacher from Nurul Ikhlas Excellent High School explained the purpose of the visit: to provide students with a real-life experience of campus life, thus motivating them to study harder and strive for their desired university. The Head of Polstat STIS then explained in more detail the ins and outs of life at Polstat STIS, from lectures, study programs, civil service, and the new student admissions selection process. The students, who come from Islamic boarding schools, were very enthusiastic about the presentation about Polstat STIS. This was evident in the numerous questions they asked during the question and answer session.
Takdir, MT (Secretary of the Statistical Computing Diploma IV Study Program), along with the Head of BU, took the students and teachers on a tour of the campus, including the Polstat STIS library. The students did not miss to capture the moment, especially in the gazebo outside the library which was filled with murals made by Polstat STIS students. At the end of the opportunity, the group was allowed to enter the classroom to see the teaching and learning activities directly. Not only seeing the lecture activities, the students were allowed to take pictures and feel like sitting on the student benches in the computer laboratory room, building 2 floor 4 Polstat STIS. "So you know what it feels like to be a student," added Bambang Nurcahyo.
