The Establishment of the Integrity Zone Demonstrates Politeknik Statistika STIS Commitment to Supporting Bureaucratic Reform

The Integrity Zone Declaration at Politeknik Statistika STIS was successfully held on Monday (12/12). The event, which took place at the Auditorium of Politeknik Statistika STIS, was organized to accelerate the achievement of a bureaucracy that is free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN), accountable, effective and efficient, and capable of delivering high-quality public services.
The event was attended by Ir. Atqo Mardiyanto, M.Si. (Principal Secretary of Statistics Indonesia/BPS RI), Drs. Akhmad Jaelani, M.Si. (Chief Inspector of BPS RI), the Assistant of Government Affairs of the Jakarta Provincial Government, the Director of Politeknik Statistika STIS, all invited guests, and the civitas academica of Politeknik Statistika STIS.
The event was opened by the MC, Nori Wilantika, S.S.T., M.T.I., and continued with the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and the Statistics March. The Director of Politeknik Statistika STIS, Dr. Erni Tri Astuti, M.Math., reported that in 2022, the institution achieved a score of 72, which meets the requirements for the declaration of the integrity zone. This declaration is a mandatory step before an institution can be assessed for the status of a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM).
She also presented the steps to be taken and the tangible outcomes of implementing this initiative within Politeknik Statistika STIS. In addition, she emphasized that this declaration should not remain merely a slogan, but rather serve as concrete proof of the seriousness and commitment of the entire civitas academica of Politeknik Statistika STIS.

In addition, the Representative of the Indonesian Ombudsman, Robert Na Endi Jaweng, S.I.P., M.A.P., congratulated Politeknik Statistika STIS for entering the initial stage and starting the Integrity Zone declaration process. “The declaration of an integrity zone must become part of daily life. So, the declaration of an integrity zone is not a ceremonial activity, nor is it merely an administrative procedure,” he stated. He emphasized that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) together with the Indonesian Ombudsman will supervise and monitor how far the process will go, and will continue to pray for success in achieving the larger goal of bureaucratic reform to improve public services.

Ir. Atqo Mardiyanto, M.Si., as the Principal Secretary of BPS RI, also delivered a speech. In his remarks, he outlined several key steps toward achieving the integrity zone. These include employee commitment to preventing corruption and improving public services, as well as breakthroughs in public service innovation, such as the use of technology to facilitate services for the public. He stated, “The Politeknik Statistika STIS work unit is already far better than other work units, so there is no reason why this integrity zone cannot be successfully implemented.”
The event then continued with the reading of the Integrity Zone Pledge, led by Dr. Erni Tri Astuti, M.Math. The pledge was recited solemnly and with full responsibility, followed by all lecturers and staff of Politeknik Statistika STIS. The declaration of the integrity zone concluded with a session for signing the integrity pact and the integrity zone declaration charter by the leaders and witnesses. Politeknik Statistika STIS also presented plaques to external witnesses from outside BPS as a token of appreciation.
