After undergoing a long and thorough process, representatives from the lecturers and students of the D-III Statistics program successfully conducted a dissemination and handover of the results from the Field Work Practice (PKL) for the 2023/2024 academic year on Tuesday (6/2). This event was held offline at the Main Meeting Room of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of Wonosobo Regency. The moment was warmly welcomed by the Head of Bappeda Wonosobo Regency, the Regional Secretary of Wonosobo Regency, the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Wonosobo Regency, and several other regional government organizations (OPD) who also attended the event.

Last October, a total of 163 third-year students from the D-III Statistics program conducted field enumeration across five subdistricts in Wonosobo: Garung, Kertek, Kalikajar, Kaliwiro, and Leksono. The processed and well-analyzed results successfully produced various indicators, including the Sustainable Agriculture Index, Food Security Index, Prevalence of Stunting among Toddlers, and the Multidimensional Poverty Index. Measurements of paradata also became an important part of the analysis. Therefore, this dissemination and handover event was highly anticipated.

Beyond presentations, the event also served as a forum for joint discussions on the findings. The presence of BPS Wonosobo Regency, the Health Office of Wonosobo Regency, and the Office of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries of Wonosobo Regency made the discussion more engaging and the interpretation of data more comprehensive. For students, this dialogue opened up many new insights into the current conditions surrounding food crop and/or horticulture agriculture in Wonosobo. According to the Office of Food, Agriculture, and Fisheries, some agricultural innovations, such as the use of soil blocks, have been introduced and supported for implementation. However, the problem lies in the lack of sustainable usage by the community.

During the dissemination, Vice Director II for General Affairs, Prof. Hardius Usman, M.Si., expressed that the results of this field work represent an intellectual asset, and even serve to strengthen the data released by BPS. He hoped that this activity could bring enlightenment to all parties involved. Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of Wonosobo Regency, Drs. One Andang Wardoyo, M.Si., appreciated the presentation, considering it valuable input for policymaking. He also expressed his openness to future research being conducted in Wonosobo.

The event concluded with a symbolic handover of the PKL report by Prof. Hardius Usman to both the Regional Secretary and the Head of BPS Wonosobo Regency. Through this activity, it is hoped that the data and input provided can help realize sustainable agriculture, strengthen food security, reduce the prevalence of stunting, and alleviate multidimensional poverty in Wonosobo Regency.
