The level of food security in Indonesia was also discussed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto, M.Si. Based on the Global Food Security Index, the adequate provision of food in Indonesia has not yet guaranteed a secure quality of life for its people. In 2022, Indonesia ranked 62nd out of 113 countries in terms of food security. Nevertheless, there has been a positive trend in the improvement of Indonesia's Food Consumption Pattern (Pola Pangan Harapan/PPH) from 2002 to 2022. The PPH score is also correlated with data on stunting and poverty.

At the end of his presentation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto, M.Si. stated that by analyzing Susenas data, we can identify food-related issues in Indonesia, including the accessibility of food ingredients for all levels of society. Good data will lead to well-designed food planning. Therefore, it is crucial to develop food planning based on PPH.
